A big week on the water and a sign we’re headed in the right direction

When NFL legend Tedy Bruschi and outdoor host Charly Camp leave your lodge with full smiles and sore casting arms, you know you’re doing something right.

This week at Coras Lodge, we had the pleasure of hosting these two legends for a trip that was equal parts fishing, fun, and unforgettable moments on Lake Aguamilpa. And the lake delivered in a big way.

Over the course of a few days, Tedy and Charly landed more than 400 bass, including some standout fish in the 4–6 lb range. The bite was strong from sunrise to sundown, with steady topwater action early and crankbaits doing serious damage once the sun hit the water. Senkos and jigs kept things lively throughout the day, and there wasn’t a single slow session the entire trip.

Hot baits this week:
Pop-Rs and Spooks at first light
Dark crankbaits mid-morning
Watermelon Senkos and black/blue jigs around 15–25 ft

It was classic Aguamilpa—high volume, strong fish, and that unmatched mix of natural beauty and bass chaos.

“This place is something special. It’s not just the fishing—it’s the people, the food, the whole experience. I’ll be back.”
— Tedy Bruschi

For us, hosting Tedy and Charly wasn’t just an honor—it was a milestone. Moments like this remind us we’re building something meaningful here. The new website is live, our U.S. bookings are growing, and anglers across North America are starting to discover what makes this place different.

From the scenic drive through the Sierra Madre to the warm hospitality back at the lodge, Coras is more than just another fishing trip—it’s a destination. And with champions like Tedy and Charly leading the way, we’re just getting started.
