Built in 1993, the Aguamilpa Solidaridad Hydroelectric Plant remains one of Mexico’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. Rising 187 meters from the forest floor, its presence reshaped the Sierra de Picachos—linking Indigenous communities, powering progress, and laying the groundwork for the lake we fish today.

What makes this footage special is timing: captured during the lush season, the drone footage reveals a green, vibrant Aguamilpa few visitors get to see. It’s a powerful reminder that this place isn’t just about fishing—it’s about connection. Between people, landscapes, and history.

We’re proud to share our lake with storytellers like Aventura Cora. And we’re even prouder to welcome guests who come not just to catch, but to explore.
